LOCATION STUDIES

Decisions as to the location of The LAKMA were made some time prior to the start of this Study; two locations have been taken seriously, the first was Villa Randenbroek, results were that the historical building did not offer expansion possibilities and thus discarded for this plan, followed by the marvel building of Amersfoort which was used for the study and analysis, this location was rented to another party and is now unavailable.

Two locations are now on the spotlight:

AMERSFOORT - THE EEMPLEIN: On the edge of Amersfoort’s centre, Multi is developing Eemplein with a unique blend of shops, leisure and cultural facilities, office and residential accommodations that is destined to become a popular and lively part of the city. With a cinema, large supermarket, multi media store and residences of the greatest possible diversity Eemplein will be a valuable expansion of the existing historical city centre of Amersfoort.MORE MORE

In this development the museum would be located in an attractive building in front of the river next to the library art-school and pop-podium and near the new university, the KADE museum, the Flehite Museum amongst other attractions. MORE MORE
