Facts Of History

ONE PICASSO EXCHANGED FOR TWO GAUSACHS

Naescher, has between his jewels a small Drawing of Picasso done in October of 1941... This work also has an interesting history. When in one of the occasions in which Andres Breton visited the country, a famous art trader of Paris Mr. Pierre Loeb traveled with him and as he observed the drawings of Gausachs he found them very interesting and requested two of them, promising in compensation to give him something of interest for his art collection. And in effect, he paid with a Picasso the works signed by Gausachs.  mas
